Product Details

The ETQ CB 01 Rugged Chocolate Full Grain Leather pairs a slim Chelsea boot silhouette with a substantial welted commando sole. Without laces or hardware interrupting the upper, the clean shape takes centre stage, while the rugged sole gives it a grounded finish. Chocolate leather develops character through wear, with everyday marks becoming part of its evolving patina.

Wear it with denim for relaxed outings or tailored trousers for evening plans. Initially firm, the full grain leather gradually softens around the foot, complemented by removable memory foam cushioning.

  • Slim Chelsea boot shape without laces or hardware.
  • Welted commando sole adds substance to the refined upper.
  • Designed in the Netherlands and handmade in Portugal by ETQ’s longstanding family-run factory partner.
  • Full grain leather from Curtumes Iberia in Alcanena, Portugal, an LWG Gold-certified tannery.
  • Welted construction stitches the sole to the upper along a leather strip rather than relying on a glued attachment.
  • Hand-lasted and inspected twice before leaving the factory.
  • Each pair combines 20 to 40 separate components assembled by hand.
  • Removable memory foam insoles conform with wear and can be exchanged for fresh footbeds or personal orthotics.
  • Internal reinforcement at the toe and heel helps preserve the boot’s shape through repeated use.
  • ETQ’s signature square finishes the heel.
  • Includes a reusable travel bag for carrying and packing.
  • The white presentation box doubles as the shipping carton, avoiding a second outer box.

Full grain leather preserves the hide’s intact outer layer, retaining its natural grain and strong fibres without sanding or buffing the surface. Every hide is checked for finish, colour, surface and thickness before cutting. Subtle differences in grain and shade reflect the material’s natural character. The leather starts with a structured feel, becomes softer through wear and develops a progressively richer patina over the years.

Brush away loose dust, then wipe gently with a slightly damp cloth. Condition the leather a few times each year to maintain suppleness. Its natural water resistance does not make it waterproof. If the boots become wet, allow them to dry naturally away from direct heat.
